the gizmoid

Posted by jedijawa
I don't know how many of you guys use Protiles ... I have a couple of sets of the double injection molded type. That is why I got an email yesterday for a new gadget called "the gizmoid" that will allow you to safely wash your double injection molded Protiles in a dishwasher. It hadn't occurred to me to wash my Protiles ... and the website clearly said not to wash the silk screened Protiles in the dishwasher ... but right now you can get one of these gadgets for $10 (incl. shipping) or you can buy two sets of Protiles and get one for free. I'm not sure why you would need to wash your Protiles ... but if this is something that appeals to you ... then there you are. :-)

Check out all of my Scrabble posts here or from my blog's sidebar.

  1. Obviously, you are fairly new to the Scrabble scene if you haven't seen the need to wash tiles yet :) I have played with some of the grungiest tiles you can imagine. I usually carry a bottle of hand sanitizer in my scrabble bag so that I can use it after playing with certain people's tiles. Next time you are at a tourney, take a look around at some of the tiles being used. I personally don't see a need for a special contraption to wash my tiles in, but I could see how a lot of people would find it handy. I've learned over time that the injection molded protiles really are worth the extra money as compared to the other ones. They are not available in as many colors, but Bob S. is making more colors available.

  2. Oh my!! You are a LOST fan??? I started watching it about a few weeks ago(starting with season 1) and am into Season 4 now. I download the episodes on my laptop and have been watching every chance I get. (When I should be studying my word lists!)

  3. Totally a LOST fan ... it's my other serial blogging gig (well ... I don't get paid for them ... I just do them for my own amusement).
